Barbara Gloudon to be laid to rest on June 2

Distinguished broadcaster and former host of Radio Jamaica's Hotline, Barbara Gloudon, will be laid to rest on June 2.
 
The thanksgiving service is set for St. Margaret's Church on Old Hope Road in St. Andrew at 10:00 a.m.
 
Persons hoping to pay their final respects are being reminded to protect themselves and each other, as COVID-19 is in its fifth wave in Jamaica. 
 
The 87-year-old theatre veteran died at the University Hospital of the West Indies in St. Andrew on May 12, after ailing for some time.
 
The funeral for her husband, Ancille, who died just 11 days before her on April 30, will take place on May 29 at Andrew's Memorial in St. Andrew.
 
Mrs Gloudon was conferred with the Order of Distinction for her contribution to journalism in 1975 and the Order of Jamaica in 1992.
