Cardi B
American rapper Cardi B will host this year's American Music Awards, scheduled for November 21, live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The five-time AMA winner has also secured three nominations at this year's show – favourite female hip-hop artiste and favorite music video and favorite hip-hop song for the single Up.
Cardi B joins a long line of hip-hop artistes to host or co-host the AMAs including M.C. Hammer, Will Smith, Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Sean Combs and Pitbull.
This is the fifth consecutive year that a woman of colour is leading the show.
