Ed Sheeran has been awarded $1.1 million in legal costs, two months after winning his plagiarism lawsuit over the hit song Shape of You.
The sum represents approximately 90% of his legal bill.
Judge Antony Zacaroli ruled in April that Sheeran had not plagiarised a 2015 song titled Oh Why by Sami Chokri in his hit Shape of You.
The payment of royalties linked to Shape Of You, estimated at €24 million, was suspended pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
The suspension is now likely to be lifted.
