Netflix's DAHMER Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story sparking backlash from families of victims

Netflix's new hit series DAHMER Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is being heavily criticized by viewers and families of victims on social media.

The 10-part series revisits the story of notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as the 'Milwaukee Cannibal', who was responsible for the murder of 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991.

Some of the families of the real-life victims argue that the series glorifies the murders and has left them feeling retraumatised.

Dahmer's sickening crimes involved dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism, which were all re-imagined in the Netflix series.

DAHMER Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has shot into Netflix's Top 10 most-watched series.

Netflix is set to release another series about Dahmer, titled Conversations With A Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes, next month.
