B&D Trawling, Jamaica's leading conch company, has made the first shipment of MSC-certified queen conch to the Cayman Islands.
This follows Jamaica's historic achievement of being the first country to earn a Marine Stewardship Council certification for its queen conch fishery.
In February, the conch cluster also received chain of custody certification, ensuring the conch meets strict traceability and sustainability standards acquired to carry the MSC label.
