Omni Industries expands reach in export market

Omni Industries says its decision to enter the Guyana, Beijing and Nicaragua markets is part of its strategy to earn 20% of its revenues from exports, adding that Jamaican needs to earn foreign exchange in order to grow.

Managing Director Patrick Kumst says Omni recently sent a shipment of construction buckets and garden hoses to Guyana to help drive its construction broom.

He also said the Guyanese government and private sector are eager to do business with Jamaican and regional entrepreneurs.

Omni Industries will also be selling bakery and beverage equipment to Guyana.

The company says entry into these regional markets is possible due to a 66% expansion in its production capacity.

This was funded by the $500 million raised from its recent initial public offer of shares on the junior market.
