The police in St Mary continue to utilise curfews in their crime fighting efforts with the measure again being imposed for a duration of 48-hours in Free Hill, Port Maria, Crooked River, Annotto Bay as well as Marson Town and Tank Lane in Oracabessa.
The curfews took effect at 6PM friday and will continue until six o'clock Sunday evening.
The police say the curfews are in response to recent outbreaks of violence, increased gang activity and rising tensions in the targeted communities.
They add that the primary objective is to restore public order, ensure the safety of residents, and prevent further acts of violence and reprisal.
