The Cari-Med Group and its partners are looking to build a national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) center.
Glenford Christian, founder and chairman of the group, has identified establishing the center as an important step in fostering economic growth given the high levels of teacher migration.
He said a number of measures are in place to establish the center.
He also revealed that $170 million in donation was pledged from one member of the private sector through a programme to provide scholarships.
Mr. Christian also donated US$1 million towards the construction of the national STEM Center.
