The Jamaica Social Stock Exchange recently partnered with the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Foundation to provide support to fishers in Portland who were badly affected by Hurricane Beryl.
Some 58 fishers benefitted from donations of $25,000 each to repair their boats, which were damaged by the hurricane.
The total value of the assistance was $1.4 million.
