The Bank of Jamaica has confirmed that National Commercial Bank (NCB) remains the largest bank in the country by assets at the end of September.
The bank has 43 per cent of the more than J$1 trillion in assets held in local commercial banks.
The Bank of Nova Scotia, with 30.5 per cent of banking assets, ranks at number two.
Sagicor Bank is a distant number three with 11 per cent of banking assets.
First Caribbean, First Global and Citibank ranked from four-to-six with assets held in the single digits, from 8%, 4% and 1% respectively.
