Manufacturing and distribution company Paramount Trading Jamaica made more profit in its second quarter ended November.
After meeting tax obligations, the company made $64.8 million - that's a $36.2 million increase over the same period in 2021.
Paramount Trading's revenue was $601 million for the quarter, a $199.8 million increase.
For the second quarter in 2021, the company generated $401.2 million in earnings.
The period's performance increased Paramount's six month earnings by 55 per cent, moving it to $1.2 billion.
The company says its increased earnings were primarily led by its construction, food and technical grade manufacturing and distribution divisions.
