Regency Petroleum says it will be opening the country's first formal truck stop and travellers halt in June.
Managing Director of the company Andrew Williams, says it will be a dealer owned-dealer operated facility under the Regency brand.
This facility, to be sited close to the company's filling plant at Crawford, St. Elizabeth, will include a service station, convenience store, truck stop, a truck rest stop, lavatories and a parking area for trucks and trailers.
Mr Williams says some $220 million will be invested in building out the facility with support from the dealer, David Wiggan, who will also be providing the land.
