Spur Tree Spices Jamaica made lower profit in the first quarter, ended March 2024.
Total comprehensive income of the company accounted to J$28 million.
That represents a 41.1 per cent decline, compared to the $48 million made for the same period ended March 2023.
The company says this was mainly due to raw material shortages in the agro processing sector.
Spur Tree Spices says total revenue amounted to J$394 million.
This was 2.8 per cent more than the corresponding period, ended March 2023.
