The JSE Index advanced by 894 points on Tuesday, while the Junior Market Index declined by 28 points.
The 43 stocks which gained ground were led by Paramount Trading, First Rock Real Estate Investments, Jamaica Broilers, Caribbean Assurance Brokers, and Sagicor Select Funds Manufacturing and Distribution.
The 53 declining stocks included Eppley 7.75 per cent Preference shares, JMMB Group 5.75 per cent USD Preference shares, Access Financial Services, Berger Paints and Mayberry Jamaican Equities.
Twenty-one stocks traded at the same price the commenced trading this morning.
