The JSE Index declined by 247 points on Tuesday, while the Junior Market Index advanced by 20 points.
The 47 winners were led by Caribbean Assurance Brokers, JMMB 7.15 per cent preference shares, EduFocal, Pulse Investments and Berger Paints.
Thirty-nine stocks lost ground, including tTech, Jetcon Corporation, Image Plus Consultants, JMMB Group 7.5 per cent preference shares and Access Financial Services.
Eighteen shares traded firm.
