GraceKennedy has acquired full ownership of Dairy Industries Jamaica after purchasing the remaining 50 per cent stake previously held by Fonterra Co-operative Group.
The acquisition brings to an end a partnership that spanned more than 40 years, with GraceKennedy and Fonterra formally operating DIJL under a joint venture agreement since 1996.
Dairy Industries manufactures a range of dairy products for the local and regional markets.
These include processed cheese under the Tastee brand, This Is Really Great Yogurt, and Anchor powdered milk.
GraceKennedy says the move gives it full control of Dairy Industries' operations as it continues to strengthen its food and consumer products portfolio across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
