Supreme ventures reports Q3 profit drop amid Hurricane Beryl impact

Supreme Ventures is reporting a lower net profit of $358 million for the third quarter ended September 30.

This is a decrease of 7.6 per cent when compared to the same period last year.

SVL said its revenues were impacted by Hurricane Beryl as its retail network was damaged in Clarendon, Manchester, St. Elizabeth, and Westmoreland.

The gaming company said it lost approximately one billion dollars in gross sales due to Hurricane Beryl but posted revenues of $12.75 million for the quarter.

It noted that it benefited from its investment in equity securities, which achieved gains of $169 million dollars and earned dividends of $21.9 million.
