The Kimala Bennett controlled Limners & Bards, which trades as The Lab, says it is positioning itself to take advantage of the boom in the global streaming market.
The company says this move is being driven by the 17.6% dip in its net profits to $21.6 million on revenues of $281 million during its first quarter, which ended on January 31 this year.
The dip in net profits was due to higher operating costs.
Ms Bennett, who is the CEO, says the company recently developed what it calls a five in five strategy, which should lead to the production of five feature films by the end of this year.
