In Trinidad and Tobago the state-owned First Citizens bank says it is open to setting up banking operations in both Guyana and Jamaica as it tries to grow beyond its domestic market.
The bank's chief executive officer Karen Darbasie held a presentation on Thursday for the business editors of the three daily newspapers in which she made the disclosure.
Ms Darbasie said First Citizens is open to starting operations, applying for a license to build from scratch, including opening brick and mortar banks in Jamaica and Guyana.
