Reggae Boyz tumble 7 places in latest FIFA rankings

Jamaica's Reggae Boyz have dropped seven places in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Thursday.

The Steve McClaren-coached team slipped from 63rd to 70th and are now the 7th ranked team in CONCACAF.

This came after the Reggae Boyz poor showing in the Gold Cup where they failed to make it out of the group stage for the first time since 2009.

Mexico who secured their 10th hold on the CONCACAF Gold Cup after beating the United States in the final 4 days ago, have leapfrogged their opponents and are now ranked number one in the region. They've also jumped 4 spots to 13th in the world ranking.

The USA are second in CONCACAF and 15th in the world. Costa Rica made the biggest jump in CONCACAF, leaping 14 places in the overall rankings to 40th.

World champions Argentina remain number one, with Spain, France, England and Brazil rounding out the top 5.
