Wind energy company Wigton Windfarm raked in more profit in its second quarter ended September.
Post tax earnings amounted to $138.25 million, compared to the $105.7 million made last year.
Wigton Windfarm's revenue for the quarter amounted to $646 million, an increase over the similar period last year when the company made $602 million.
The quarter's performance brought the company's earnings for the six months up to $1.4 billion, a slight improvement over the similar period last year when the company made $1.3 billion.
Wigton says there was an 8.6 per cent increase in wind energy supply compared to last year.
