16-year-old among four killed in Central Village operation

A 16-year-old high school student was among four males killed during an alleged confrontation with the police in Windsor Heights, Central Village, St. Catherine on Wednesday morning.  
 
Investigators reported that three illegal firearms were seized.
 
The dead teenager has been identified as Deandre Channer of McGregor Gully, St. Andrew.
 
The police say he was a high ranking member of the Top Burgher Gully gang and was a suspect in last month's murder of Ricardo Taylor in East Kingston.
 
The three other deceased are 21-year old Romario Brewster of Burgher Avenue, Rollington Town, Kingston; 24-year old Patrick Brown, a labourer of  Central Village; and 22-year-old Nigel Adams, of Sarah Street, Kingston 4. 
 
Mr. Adams was wanted for murder and shooting in the Kingston Central Police Division.
 
The police say Mr. Brewster was also a high ranking members of the Top Burgher Gully gang. 
 
He was out on bail on firearms related charges and was also a suspect in the murder of Ricardo Taylor. 
 
It was reported that the police entered an area in Windsor Heights, known as Zambia, about 2:30 on Wednesday morning. They say they were shot at and retaliated, resulting in the death of the four men.
