The Advocates Network is recommending that Jamaican law enforcement authorities partner with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate 'Embracing Orphans' and its founder, Carl Robanske, for child abuse.

A member of the Advocates Network, Rukie Wilson, says the Office of the Children's Advocate's recommendations into the questionable relationship between the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) and Robanske are not enough to deter people who will seek to prey on vulnerable youths in state care, or be derelict in their duty of care.

She said a criminal investigation should be launched into the allegations against Robanske as well as the possible involvement and or neglect by the CPFSA that may have caused the abuse of children in state care.

Ms. Wilson also called for "an immediate removal or suspension without pay"  of the CPFSA chief executive officer, Rosalee Gage-Grey.

The Children's Advocate's 93-page report outlined findings on the controversial partnership between the CPFSA and Robanske, who was flagged in the US over inappropriate sexual contact with a child.

Minister of Youth Fayval Williams has asked Mrs Gage-Grey to "step aside" from the entity while an investigation takes place.

However, there has been no word from the CPFSA head indicated any intension to do so.
