Alleged One Don Gang members suspected an associate was giving information to police

A secretly recorded 45-minute conversation among alleged top-tier members of the One Don Gang has revealed that they suspected one of their cronies was providing information to the police.

The conversation involving the lone female defendant, Stephanie Christie, another defendant identified as "City Puss", and the alleged leader of the gang, Andre "Blackman" Bryan, was heard on Monday as the One Don Gang trial continued in the Home Circuit Court.

In the recording, the defendants could be heard basing their suspicion on the number of arrests by the police and line of questioning.

Miss Christie also revealed that she was questioned by an officer at Spanish Town Police Station in St. Catherine.

She said the policeman asked her about Mr. Bryan's source of income and his possessions.

During the conversation, she was also heard telling the men that the owner of a hardware store in Spanish Town was also questioned by the police.

Miss Christie said she was informed by the owner that he told the police he had a book containing two years of receipts for building material Mr. Bryan bought for the construction of his studio on Jones Avenue in Spanish Town.

At one point during the conversation, the question was asked whether truck drivers who the alleged members of the gang had extorted weekly had reported the incidents.

However, this was dismissed by City Puss who said the drivers were not brave enough to inform the police.
