Area 4 Commander speaks about security issues

The Commander for Area Four Headquarters, Acting Assistant Commissioner Terrence Bent, gave an update on the security situation in the Corporate Area for Election Day.

“In the Corporate Area, Area 4, we have manned the polling locations and stations from as early as 5:30 this morning. We were able to be on location for the opening of the polls by the EOJ  officials. Thus far, we are not seeing any major challenges but we have sufficient numbers in tandem with the JDF,” said Acting ACP Bent.

He told RJR News that the police were unable to confirm reports of gunfire in or near Harbour View.
