Delivery driver accused of drug smuggling charged

A London-based man caught attempting to smuggle more than $30 million worth of cocaine out of the island, has been charged.
 
Gairy Graham, a 49-year-old delivery driver of Thornton, St. Elizabeth and London, England, was charged on the weekend by the narcotics police.
 
He was arrested last Thursday at Sangster International Airport in St. James in possession of almost 12 pounds of cocaine.
 
Investigators say Mr. Graham was preparing to board a flight to London when the drugs was detected in his luggage.
 
The cocaine has a street value of £170,000.
 
Mr. Graham is scheduled to appear in the St. James Parish Court on Friday.
