Immigration lawyers to meet with deportees

Immigration lawyers from Jamaican Diaspora groups will be meeting with deportees to determine whether they have any legal recourse to return to the countries from which they were deported.

The meeting will be part of  the upcoming sixth Biennial Diaspora Conference, to be held in St James.

Joan Pinnock, Jamaica Diaspora Northeast USA Board Member, says the team is planning to meet with Jamaicans who were deported from the UK, Canada and the United States.

Pinnock, who will be accompanied by immigration lawyer, Wayne Golding, says she will be making a presentation on the topic.

The meeting will be conducted free of  cost.
