Aston Cooke
Jamaican playwright Aston Cooke is dead.
The 61 year-old was found dead at his home in St. Andrew Friday morning.
The circumstances which led to his death are not yet known.
Mr. Cooke was the recipient of nine Actor Boy Awards for outstanding achievement in various categories of theatre in Jamaica.
He was an inductee to the Caribbean Hall of Fame for Arts and Culture.
Mr. Cooke also served as Chairman of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) from 2013 to 2016.
