The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) has no concerns that the lights at Sabina Park will be an issue when Australia arrives for their tour of the Caribbean in July.

Although the lights at Sabina Park malfunctioned during the first game of Thursday night’s Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL) playoffs, forcing a postponement, president of the JCA, Dr Donovan Bennett, doesn't believe it will be a problem when Australia visit Jamaica for one test and two T20 internationals later this year.

The third test is set for Sabina Park between from July 12-16, while the two T20 internationals are set for July 20 and 22.

Meanwhile, the JCA president also revealed to Radio Jamaica Sports that the local governing body plans to hold two practice games at Sabina Park in June to test the lights ahead of Australia's visit. The first game will be a two-day pink ball fixture on June 21 and 22.

The second encounter will be a T20 match on June 24 that will honour Don Wehby for his contribution to sports and cricket in Jamaica. Wehby is a former director of Cricket West Indies (CWI).
