An employee of the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) was shot dead at her house in St. Andrew on Tuesday.
She has been identified as 36-year-old registration clerk Nicola Cassandra Campbell.
About 7:00 p.m., Mrs Campbell was about to enter her house on Little Kew Road when she was shot several times by a gunman.
Her killer escaped on a motorcycle.
The St. Andrew Central Police are trying to establish a motive for the killing.
