Two men were shot, one fatally in Albion District, Manchester, yesterday afternoon.
The deceased is 26-year-old Corey Simpson of Ballards Valley in St. Elizabeth.
It's reported that sometime after midday Mr Simpson exited a taxi when men emerged from bushes and opened fire hitting him and the driver.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The taxi driver has been hospitalised.
The police say Mr Simpson had previous run-ins with the law for theft in St. Elizabeth.
