Men who tried to rob woman in Kingston, charged

Two men who attempted to rob a woman along the intersection of Retreat and Seymour Avenue in Kingston last month have been charged.

Miguel Stone, a 25-year-old of Sussex Lane in Franklin Town, Kingston and 19-year-old Paul Alexander of York Street in Kingston, were charged with assault at common-law, robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm on Tuesday.

The men were pointed out in an identification parade.

Reports are that on July 19, a licensed firearm holder saw a woman being robbed at gunpoint by Mr. Stone and Mr. Alexander about 11:45 a.m.

The licensed firearm holder challenged the men, causing the Honda motorcycle in which they were travelling to crash.

Their court date is being finalised.
