Anthony Hylton, Member of Parliament for St. Andrew West, has called for a workable anti-crime plan for the constituency.
Mr. Hylton said the measures must not just serve as a short-term deterrence.
He wants a sustained plan to tackle crime and violence.
In a news release Friday, Mr. Hylton said his call follows an increase in crime in the St. Andrew West constituency.
The most recent incidents involved the killing of former national footballer Irvino English and national bobsleigh athlete Oshane Lewis.
