Operation underway to restore order in Half Way Tree

A multi-agency operation is underway in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew as the authorities attempt to restore order to the area.
 
The operation is aimed at removing illegal vendors and illegal taxis from the streets, as well as removing tints from public passenger vehicles.
 
Deputy Superintendent Winchester Watson, who is responsible for the Traffic Enforcement Division in the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, said a number of drivers with outstanding warrants have also been picked up. 
 
The Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch said the operation will extend to other sections of Kingston and St. Andrew.
