The opposition has named Senator Donna Scott Mottley and Anthony Hylton as its representatives on the Constitutional Reform Committee.
Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the development follows Sunday's Vale Royal Talks in which the government clarified its position on the specific matters of concern relating to the planned review of Jamaica's Constitution.
Mr. Golding says this matter has once again demonstrated the value of Vale Royal Talks in allowing constructive dialogue in a setting which facilitates candid discussions on issues of concern.
During at least two sittings of Parliament, Mr. Golding and Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs Marlene Malahoo Forte have debated the reasons for the opposition not naming representatives to the committee.
On February 7, Mrs Malahoo Forte said she would move ahead to name the committee after the conclusion of the next round of the Vale Royal Talks.
