Oxford Market vendors appeal for help following fire

Vendors at Oxford Market in downtown Kingston and Emeleo Ebanks, Public Relations Officer for the Jamaica Fire Brigade
 
Vendors in the Oxford Market in downtown Kingston who suffered losses in Sunday night's fire, are appealing for help from the authorities.
 
When Radio Jamaica News returned to the location Monday morning, the vendors were seen assessing the damage and removing debris.
 
The said that they lost items such agricultural produce, dry goods and equipment.
 
Orville Lyons says all his goods were destroyed. 
 
Another vendor, Lucinda Allen, says she needs help to get back on her feet, since she also lost everything in the fire, including onion, garlic, nutmeg, turmeric and even cash. 
 
Emeleo Ebanks, Public Relations Officer for the Jamaica Fire Brigade, said the York Park Fire Station was alerted to the fire at 11:40 p.m.
 
He said three units responded to the blaze.  
 
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
