Detectives in St. Ann are investigating the suspected drowning of an unidentified woman at the Mahogany Beach in Ocho Rios on Tuesday.
It is reported that the woman, who appeared to be in her mid-50s and who was clad in a floral swimsuit, was taken to the St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital by a citizen where she was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.
The medical staff at the hospital informed investigators that the citizen reported seeing the deceased woman unresponsive in the water at the beach after which she was taken to hospital.
