Police seize illegal gun during Ramsay Road operation on Monday

The Kingston Western Police conducted a major operation on Monday, in search of members of a criminal gang said to be operating in the community of Ramsey Road.
 
During the operation, the police reportedly seized an illegal firearm, loaded with six rounds of ammunition.
 
The Commanding Officer for the Area 4 Police, Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps, said the operation was part of a continued pursuit of members of the Stinger Gang.
 
He said detectives carried out snap raids in search of several suspects, wanted for questioning in connection with serious crimes such as murder and shooting.
 
They are Chadayne Hinds, otherwise called "Neco" -  Kemar Frazer - otherwise called "Parrie" - Malique Mattis, also known as "Baby Boy".
 
ACP Phipps is demanding that the immediately surrender to the police.
 
The suspects were not seen but during a search of a property along Ramsey Road, the illegal gun was reportedly found concealed beneath a damaged section of the perimeter fence.
