Radio Jamaica News sources have confirmed that Othniel Lobban, the reputed leader of the One Order Gang in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, was shot and killed by members of the joint anti-gang task force on Wednesday night.
Mr. Lobban, otherwise called ‘Thick Man’, was fatally shot about 10 o'clock along Washington Boulevard in the vicinity of the Six Miles bridge.
According to our sources, he was a high value target.
Mr. Lobban's death comes following an operation Wednesday in Tawes Meadows to capture him. But he escaped during protest action by residents.
According to police sources, he was a person of interest in a number of murders.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that a 9 millimeter pistol was seized from Mr. Lobban after he was shot.
