A section of the St. Mary High School was damaged by a fire on Friday afternoon.
The fire started sometime before 3 o'clock in a section of the building which houses grade 9 students.
Juliet Frazer Sadaar, Principal of St. Mary High, said teachers assisted in evacuating students when the fire was discovered.
However, she said the school's audio-visual room, which appears to have suffered most of the damage, was not occupied by students at the time of the fire.
Still, she lamented that the damage to the rooms would cause a dislocation of the grade 9 students.
