Several arrested in Clarendon operation in search of criminals

Senior Superintendent Glenford Miller, head of the Clarendon Police

The Clarendon police say a number of suspects in various crimes have been arrested during operations across the parish.

Clarendon has seen a flare up of violence in recent months.

Senior Superintendent Glenford Miller, head of the Clarendon Police, said the police have intensified their search for the criminals, especially in communities to include Canaan Heights, Havana Heights, and Portland Cottage.

Superintendent Miller said some of the criminals are from other parishes but "persons actually import them in Clarendon to commit crimes".

"So whenever you see these strange persons coming in the area, citizens, I'm imploring on you (sic), call the police. Let us come and check them out. It is best to be safe than sorry," he urged.
