The Jamaica Defence Force soldier who is charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman on Caledonia Avenue in St. Andrew last month, has been remanded.
The soldier, who is identified as Theophilus Tracey, is charged with failing to hand over his licensed firearm to investigators.
When the matter was called up in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, the clerk of court confirmed that investigators are now in possession of the weapon.
The soldier was taken in custody on suspicion of murder on February 26, shortly after a woman, identified as Osheen Lawrence, was found shot to death in a car which he owns.
