Police urge motorists not to block intersections

ACP Gary McKenzie

The Public Safety & Traffic Enforcement Branch [PSTEB] is urging motorists not to block major intersections.

In that regard, Assistant Commissioner of Police Gary McKenzie, commanding officer for PSTEB, reiterated that police personnel cannot be deployed at every intersection, "that are sometimes very challenging."

In those circumstances, he said motorists must help themselves by conforming "with order, and ensure that all of us can get by."

ACP McKenzie has also acknowledged that there is a need to install stoplights at intersections that do not yet have the signaling device, disclosing that "There are a number of them that we have identified."
