Deputy Superintendent Anton-Gur Cardoza, Operations Officer for Clarendon
A teenager wanted by the Clarendon Police was among several people taken into custody during an operation in that parish on Thursday.
The police say he was being sought on an allegation of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Deputy Superintendent Anton-Gur Cardoza, Operations Officer for Clarendon, told Radio Jamaica News the police also carried out a cordon and search operation in Windsor Avenue to locate illegal firearms and persons of interest in relation to other crimes.
No illegal firearm was found, however, three people were taken into custody for questioning.
Further operations in May Pen lead to a number of people being prosecuted for road traffic breaches as well as several others being charged for unlawfully exposing goods for sale.
