Church's Texas Chicken plans more Jamaica stores

Church's Texas Chicken says it will be opening 10 stores in Jamaica during the next five years, following the opening of the first one at Mall Plaza on Monday.

Vice President of the Company for the Americas, Gregg Gallagher, expressed confidence that the chain will
succeed despite the intense competition it will face.

He said the company will distinguish itself with bold flavours, despite the intense competition, because it takes pride in its food.

Gallagher also indicated that the expansion programme will be centered in Kingston, Portmore, St. Catherine
and Spanish Town initially.

The quick service restaurant executive also says the company wants to establish the brand in Kingston first before going island-wide.

The Mall Plaza-based store currently employs 60 people.

The company's portfolio includes Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean. It currently has 1,500 locations in 22 countries.
