Tourism interests predict improved revenue from upcoming winter season

Minister of Tourism ED Bartlett

Tourism interests are optimistic that the winter tourist season will be a successful one.

Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett says more than one million seats have been secured from the traditional markets of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.

Speaking in an Interview with Radio Jamaica news, the tourism minister said the figures for September to November were out pacing the pre-Covid levels.

Mr Bartlett says, while concerns about economic conditions are warranted, the projections for revenue inflows from the sector are positive.
