Tragedy as two bodies found in vehicle washed away in St. Catherine

The bodies of the man and woman who went missing on Tuesday when their vehicle was swept away in Worthy Park, St. Catherine, during heavy rains, were found on Thursday.
 
The bodies, believed to be that of 58-year-old Junior Gooden and 28-year-old Terrica Green, were found inside the vehicle in which the couple was travelling.
 
The pick-up truck was found by residents sometime after 9 a.m. Thursday, but the vehicle was retrieved about 1 p.m. after the floodwaters receded.
 
Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, Commanding Officer for the St. Catherine North Division, said the police are investigating the circumstances which led to the tragedy. 
 
A post mortem will also be conducted to determine cause of death. 
 
The vehicle was found in a gully off the Worthy Park main road.
 
Mr. Gooden's licensed firearm was found inside the vehicle.
