Two NSWMA employees shot, one fatally, in Portmore

Two employees of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) were shot Wednesday morning in Portsmouth, Portmore, St. Catherine.
 
The wounded men were transported to hospital by the police.
 
One later died.
 
It's understood that about 10 o'clock, the men were on a truck collecting garbage in a section of Portsmouth when they were attacked.
 
NSWMA Executive Director Audley Gordon bemoaned the incident, telling Radio Jamaica News that it is "natually a very tough time for us here at the agency".
