Two Israeli embassy staff members, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were fatally shot after an event at the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington, DC.
The suspect, 38-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, has been detained. Rodriguez, 31, has since been slapped with federal murder charges in connection to the shooting.
Authorities say he shouted "Free Palestine" upon arrest and they're investigating potential terrorism links.
US President Donald Trump condemned the attack as anti-Semitic and Israeli leaders including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign minister blamed the global anti-Semitic incitement and announced increased embassy security worldwide.
