Two policemen and a civilian held in connection with contract killing of Manchester business woman

Two members of  the Jamaica Constabulary Force have been taken into custody as the Police High Command launches a major investigation into the suspected contract killing of  a Manchester businesswoman last Friday.

A senior investigator told RJR News the policemen were arrested on the weekend. A civilian has also been taken into custody. Other arrests are expected in the case.

The three are being investigated for the fatal shooting of  61 year old, Norma Henry Coleman. Mrs Henry Coleman, who operated several businesses in Manchester, was ambushed and fatally shot in Mandeville.

Shortly after 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, she was driving along Confidence Avenue when a car with men drove up and intercepted her vehicle. The men sprayed bullets on her vehicle and sped away. She was pronounced dead at hospital.

The Police High Command is to issue a statement on the investigation later today.
